Introducing Scotty Cox as New Midday Show Host

101.3 Real Country is excited to announce the addition of Scotty Cox as the new host of the midday show. Hailing from Missouri, Scotty brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for radio to his role at the station. He will be on the airwaves from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm every Monday through Friday, delivering the best country music and engaging with listeners throughout the Springfield community.

Scotty’s radio journey began in his hometown of Cape Girardeau during his high school years, where he quickly fell in love with the medium. Ever since, he has dedicated himself to the art of entertaining and connecting with listeners. “I started working at a hometown radio station in Cape Girardeau while I was in high school, and have managed to avoid getting a real job ever since,” Scotty fondly recalls.

With a career spanning decades, Scotty has become a recognizable voice in the region, capturing the hearts of listeners of all ages. “I’m to the very gratifying point in my career that I now meet people who have listened to me in the car with their parents, and now they listen in the car with their kids. I can’t think of a better compliment,” he reflects with pride.

Outside of his radio endeavors, Scotty finds solace in spending time on his bicycle, exploring the scenic trails and country roads of Missouri. Recognizing the importance of maintaining good health as he embraces his 50s, Scotty often advocates for the benefits of a fulfilling bike ride. “You won’t have to listen long to hear me trying to convince others about the benefits of a good bike ride,” he shares enthusiastically.

Beyond the world of radio, Scotty finds inspiration in the lives of notable figures. “The life of Jerry Seinfeld has fascinated me for several years, James Bond has fascinated me for several decades, and I am an unapologetic fan of the animated shows of Seth MacFarlane,” he confesses. His love for animated series such as Family Guy, American Dad, and The Cleveland Show adds a playful touch to his personality.

Grounded in his faith, Scotty acknowledges the blessings he has received throughout his life. “I believe that there is a God in Heaven that created this world and everything in it. In his wisdom, he has chosen to bless me with a life that I nowhere near deserve, and I don’t thank him enough,” Scotty humbly expresses. Grateful for the opportunity to serve as a host on Real Country 101.3, he is eager to share his passion and connection with listeners.

101.3 Real Country is thrilled to welcome Scotty to our lineup of talented radio personalities. With his engaging on-air presence, deep love for country music, and strong ties to the local community, Scotty is poised to become a beloved voice in Springfield. Tune in to his midday show from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday, to experience the dynamic energy and heartfelt connection that Scotty brings to the airwaves.
