Sunday afternoon, I decided I was in need of a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of my everyday work life.

As I walked along the trails at Valley Water Mill Park this past Sunday, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the beauty of nature. The leaves beneath my feet and the not so gentle chirping of birds in the trees above me were like a symphony that only nature could compose. It was a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and I felt grateful to be able to experience it.

As I reached the top of one of the hills, I paused to take in the breathtaking view of the valley below. In that moment, I couldn’t help but be reminded of the words of the late Maya Angelou. “The world is full of poetry,” she once said. “The air is living with its spirit; and the waves dance to the music of its melodies, and sparkle in its brightness.” And in that moment, I realized that she was right – the world truly is full of poetry, and I was lucky enough to be standing in the midst of it.
